An Honor!

I’m pleased to announce that I was appointed by the President of our Civic Association to be an Officer and a member of the Board. Community organizations can be highly enjoyable or, in some cases, anything but.

We have the benefit of being voluntary, with no requirements that everyone belong, and very low annual dues. And anyone who wants to have a say is welcome to attend Board as well as general meetings of the Association. So, this very democratic and open environment meets my idea of highly enjoyable for it’s not about power and position – it’s about serving our neighbors.

It’s a responsibility, not a reward, to be given this honor. And I’m very flattered to have been welcomed by a group of very dedicated and smart folks.
